Game Menu
Game Menu

The Game menu is displayed when you click on the Game button on the left side of AutoSudoku's status bar (at the bottom of the window). This menu also opens when you press the G key. Menu commands are:

New: Loads a new game from AutoSudoku's library (see submenu below)
Clear Board: Clears (blanks) all cell assignements
Game Pieces: Choice between game pieces (see submenu below)
Open: Opens a game from a text file
Save: Saves the current game to a text file
Print: Prints the current game (only available if a printer is installed)
Exit: Exits the game


Game|New Submenu
Game|New Submenu

Use the Game|New submenu to load a new game from AutoSudoku's library. Menu commands are:

Easy: Loads a random game in the Easy level of difficulty (30-32 givens)
Intermediate: Loads a random game in the Intermediate level of difficulty (28-30 givens)
Hard: Loads a random game in the Hard level of difficulty (26-38 givens)
Challenging: Loads a random game in the Challenging level of difficulty (24-26 givens)
Special: Loads a random game in the Special level of difficulty (20-23 givens)
Pick Game#: Opens a dialog to pick a new game (see below)

The Select New Game is displayed when you use the Game|New|Pick Game# menu command. Click to select the difficulty level, and enter the game number that uniquely identifies a game in AutoSudoku's library. Click on OK to confirm and load the game into the board, or on Cancel to close the dialog without loading a game.

Use the Game|Game Pieces submenu to select between playing with digits or with figures of fruits:




View Menu
View Menu

The View menu is displayed when you click on the View button next to the Game button on the left side of AutoSudoku's status bar (at the bottom of the window) This menu also opens when you press the V key. Menu commands are:

All Hints: Turns all hints on
No Hints: Turns all hints off
Solved Cells: Check to display cells that were solved by Auto Sudoku
Impossible Cells: Check to display impossible cells on a red background
Bad Select Values: Check to display bad select values (Select window) on a red background
Dimm Solved Cells: Check to dimm (faint) the the display of Solved Cells
Tiny Window: Check to reduce/enlarge the window size. This setting can also be changed by clicking on the maximize/restore button on the window caption, or by double clicking on the window caption
